MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)
I. PURPOSE
This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sets forth the terms and understanding between CSV-USA and [Member Organization/Chapter] to formalize the roles, responsibilities, and commitments as a recognized member within the Coalition. This MOU affirms our mutual intent to cooperate in the pursuit of justice, healing, and advocacy for Sudanese victim communities in the USA and beyond.
II. SCOPE OF COLLABORATION
a) The member organization agrees to:
- Align with the vision, mission, and constitution of CSV-USA.
- Actively participate in coalition meetings, campaigns, and programs.
- Promote CSV-USA's values in its local and national activities.
- Contribute to national advocacy efforts, documentation, and public education.
- Promote a survivor-centered approach.
- Respect each other's autonomy, identity, and mission.
b) Areas of Cooperation
- Information sharing and mutual capacity building
- Co-hosting community events and healing programs
- Legal and advocacy coordination (e.g., ICC cases, asylum)
- Youth and women empowerment programs
- Joint fundraising and media outreach
c) CSVC-USA agree to
- Recognize [Member Name] as a full coalition member.
- Provide updates, advocacy tools, and capacity-building resources.
- Include member in national coordination, communications, and campaigns.
- Support regional chapter development and visibility.
III. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CSV-USA Shall:
- Facilitate strategic planning and joint decision-making.
- Offer training, coordination, and communication tools.
- Include members in national decision-making processes.
[Member Name] Shall:
- Appoint a representative to attend National Coalition meetings.
- Report quarterly on local activities, challenges, and impact.
- Participate in working groups or committees as needed.
IV. NON-BINDING AGREEMENT
This MOU is a voluntary expression of mutual intention to collaborate. It is not legally binding and may be terminated by either party with 30 days' written notice.
V. TERMS AND DURATION
This MOU shall be valid for two (2) years from the date of signature and is renewable upon mutual consent.
