Our Program Areas
1. Psychological and Emotional Recovery
Goal: Support trauma healing and emotional resilience
- Establish culturally responsive mental health services (including Sudanese trauma counselors)
- Create peer-support networks and survivor-led healing circles
- Offer community-based psychosocial workshops
2. Legal Advocacy and Protection
Goal: Promote justice, protection, and legal empowerment
- Provide immigration legal aid (asylum, TPS, reunification)
- Advocate for inclusion in transitional justice and reparation mechanisms
- Document human rights violations for legal accountability
3. Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods
Goal: Increase self-reliance and financial security
- Implement vocational training and certification programs
- Partner with employers for job placements
- Provide micro-grants for victim-led businesses or cooperatives
4. Health and Wellness Access
Goal: Improve access to healthcare and mental wellness
- Develop referral networks with culturally competent clinics
- Provide interpretation and patient advocacy services
- Organize wellness fairs with preventative screening and health education
5. Cultural Restoration and Community Building
Goal: Preserve identity and strengthen collective solidarity
- Host cultural events, intergenerational dialogue forums, and language classes
- Support Sudanese arts, storytelling, and memorialization initiatives
- Build community centers or safe spaces for gathering and learning
6. Civic Engagement and Representation
Goal: Ensure victims' voices shape local and national policy
- Train community members in civic education and advocacy
- Build partnerships with policy allies and human rights organizations
- Advocate for diaspora engagement in Sudan's transitional justice process
7. Youth Connection
Goal: Activate inclusive leadership and intergenerational transformation
- Create youth mentorship and leadership development programs
- Support educational access and scholarships for refugee youth
- Encourage youth to participate in democratic processes, peacebuilding, and community dialogue
- Strengthen intergenerational dialogue between youth and elders to preserve community wisdom
8. Women Empowerment
Goal: Create transformative platform that uplifts and mobilizes Sudanese women
- Build leadership capacity of Sudanese women for community affairs and decision-making
- Empower women survivors through healing, rights education, and advocacy training
- Educate and mobilize Sudanese women to engage in civic and policy processes
- Enhance economic empowerment through training, financial literacy, and business support
