Sudanese Victim Communities in the U.S. Launch National Coalition to Demand Justice and Healing

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma & Other Locations within the US Nationwide — The survivors and advocates from Sudanese communities across the United States have launched the Coalition of Sudanese Victim Communities in the USA (CSVC-USA) to advocate for justice, healing, and accountability for victims of decades of war, genocide, and state-sponsored violence in Sudan.

Formed by survivors of atrocities in Darfur, Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile, Abyei and other regions, CSVC-USA aims to:

  • Demand accountability from perpetrators at national and international levels
  • Support community healing, truth-telling, and trauma recovery
  • Mobilize the Sudanese diaspora for civic engagement and policy change

"We are not only survivors; we are builders of justice and peace."

— Dr. Kori, the newly elected Executive Director of CSVC-USA

The coalition includes regional chapters in the United States nationwide and invites Sudanese survivors, youth, women, religious leaders, community leaders, and allies to join its mission.
