Standing Committees
The Standing Committees of the Coalition of Sudanese Victim Communities in the USA are specialized working bodies established to carry out the ongoing thematic, technical, and programmatic responsibilities of the Coalition. Each committee focuses on a core functional area and supports both the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) and Regional Chapters in achieving the Coalition's mission of justice, healing, and empowerment for Sudanese victim communities.

The Secretariat operates under the supervision of relevant NCC officers and ensures program execution, community input, and grassroots alignment.

Composition and Operation
Each committee is composed of 5–9 members nominated by regional chapters or elected at the General Assembly.
Committees elect a Chairperson and Secretary, and operate under terms of reference approved by the NCC.
Committees meet regularly (monthly or quarterly) and submit quarterly reports to the National Secretariat.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Standing Committees
The Standing Committees are entrusted with critical responsibilities that ensure the effective functioning of the Coalition. Each committee plays a vital role in advancing our mission through specialized expertise and dedicated action.
Providing specialized knowledge and guidance in their respective focus areas to ensure informed decision-making and strategic direction.
Developing, executing, and evaluating programs that address the specific needs of Sudanese victim communities.
Creating strategic plans, setting measurable objectives, and monitoring progress to ensure accountability and effectiveness.
Formulating policy recommendations and advocating for changes that promote justice and support for victim communities.
Facilitating effective communication between committees, chapters, and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive action.
Strengthening the skills and capabilities of committee members and community representatives through training and resources.
Securing financial and in-kind resources through partnerships, fundraising, and grant opportunities to support Coalition activities.
Maintaining transparent records of activities, outcomes, and finances, and reporting regularly to the NCC and General Assembly.
Adapting to emerging challenges and crises with swift, coordinated responses that address urgent community needs.
