State Chapters

The State Chapters of the Coalition of Sudanese Victim Communities in the USA serve as frontline organizers of Sudanese communities across the United States. Each chapter works to address local needs while coordinating with regional bodies to uplift grassroots voices at the national level.

Our State Chapters provide vital support to Sudanese diaspora communities through advocacy, education, cultural preservation, and community building initiatives. They act as local hubs for organizing, resource sharing, and amplifying the voices of Sudanese victims across America.

Serving Sudanese communities in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile with focus on refugee resettlement and cultural integration.

Chapter Overview

Established: 2018

Mission: To empower Sudanese communities in Alabama through advocacy, education, and cultural preservation while addressing the unique challenges faced by diaspora communities in the South.

Volunteer Opportunities: We welcome volunteers for our youth mentorship program, cultural events planning, community outreach, and administrative support.

Survivors are encouraged to share their stories and participate in our advocacy work. Students can assist with tutoring and youth programs. Professionals can provide pro bono services in their areas of expertise. Allies can support through advocacy and event participation.
