Success Stories designed to highlight the tangible impact and progress of the Coalition of Sudanese Victim Communities in the USA (CSVC-USA). These fictional but realistic case studies demonstrate effectiveness and outcomes aligned with the Coalition’s mission of truth, justice, healing, and empowerment.
From Silence to Voice: The Testimony Project
In 2024, the Coalition launched a community-led storytelling and documentation project in Minnesota. Over 120 survivor testimonies were collected and archived, helping participants begin their healing journeys while contributing to historical truth and justice efforts.

Empowering the Next Generation: Youth Advocacy Fellowship
CSV-USA launched the Youth Advocacy Fellowship in 2025, training 10 Sudanese-American youth in human rights and advocacy. Fellows have since led awareness campaigns and community events.

Justice in Motion: Legal Aid Referral for Genocide Survivors
In 2023–2024, the Coalition referred 18 survivors to pro bono attorneys for asylum support. One case led to a successful asylum grant based on genocide persecution.

Bridging Divides: Multi-Regional Dialogue for Unity
CSV-USA convened over 80 community leaders for a Unity Dialogue Summit, promoting inter-regional collaboration and forming four active regional committees.

Supporting Survivors in Need: Emergency Relief Fund
CSV-USA provided emergency food, housing, and mental health referrals to 37 Sudanese refugees and asylum seekers through small grants and community donations.

Restoring Dignity Through Burial Advocacy
The Coalition's "Right to Be Remembered" campaign secured 5,000 petition signatures and influenced a UN Human Rights Council statement on mass grave investigations.
